Community Spotlight: Drama Kids of Metro West

Performance Day, Summer Camp 2013

Drama Kids is the worldwide leader in after-school drama education. Our exclusive 15 year curriculum is designed to bring out the best in every child… shy or outgoing! It is updated annually and lessons do not repeat. Each class is new and reinforces the skills we teach. Skills include: Improvisation, Speech and Movement development, Creative thinking, Teamwork and Leadership, Partner work, Small Group and Large group scene work. Drama Kids is fast paced learning and FUN, with each student performing in every class.

Our classes are broken into 4 age groups: Kinder Kids (Pre-K/K), Lower Primary (K-2nd grade), Upper Primary (3rd-6th grade) and DKI Acting Academy (7th-12th grade). During the spring session, we work on a unique and specially written play (for each age group) that will showcase the skills the students have learned throughout the year. We also offer special workshops during school vacation weeks and many Summer options. We have many classes in Franklin and neighboring communities. Drama Kids provides a limited number of scholarships and continually works with our community partners to help in any way we can.
